DeFuniak Springs, Fla.National Health Center Week 2020 will be celebrated this year from
August 9 – 15. Community Health Centers provide preventive and primary care services to
almost 30 million people and have continued to do so while facing a global pandemic. The
Walton Community Health Center (WCHC) located in DeFuniak Springs, Santa Rosa Beach
and Paxton, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Health in Walton County, provides
care to people who disproportionately suffer from chronic disease and lack access to
affordable, quality care.

Last year the WCHC provided $1,147,047 in discounted services to our over 5000 clients.
Additionally, Behavioral Health Counseling Services are now also available to our clients. The
WCHC has achieved the Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home which is a model of care that
puts patients at the forefront of care by building better relationships between people and their
clinical care needs. The WCHC is committed to quality improvement and patient-centered care
that results in healthier, happier patients.

The Walton Community Health Center has been instrumental in helping Walton County fight
Covid19 by providing free testing throughout the County”, said Holly Holt, Health Officer and
CEO. “We will continue to provide front line support for the citizens of Walton County for the
duration of this pandemic”.
