PREREGISTER FOR COVID-19 VACCINE APPOINTMENT ONLINE AT MYVACCINE.FL.GOV OR CALL 866-201-0442

The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) is reminding eligible residents to preregister with the statewide system to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments by visiting myvaccine.fl.gov or by calling 866-201-0442 TTY 833-476-1036.

The statewide system allows eligible individuals to be contacted when vaccine appointments are available at the DOH-Citrus drive-thru clinic at the Central Ridge District Park, as well as at pop-up clinics hosted by the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

All clinics are provided by appointment only using the statewide system, so it is important to get preregistered. Registrants should also be prepared to answer unknown calls from operators.

Operators will never ask for financial information. If someone calls and asks for financial information or social security number in exchange for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, hang up and call the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency line at 352-249-2790.

If you preregistered with the statewide system weeks ago and haven't received an appointment in Citrus County, you may want to reregister if there's a chance you:

  • Didn't answer the calls--operators may be calling from unknown numbers and may not leave voicemails.
  • Have a block on your phone for unknown numbers.
  • Registered in more than one county--the last place you registered is where you are in line.

To expedite registration at the clinics, DOH-Citrus is asking residents with appointments to complete the Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccine Screening and Consent ahead of time and bring it with them to their appointments. Only the Moderna vaccine will be given at this time.

Consent forms are available on the DOH-Citrus website under the Programs and Services section or by visiting Florida Health Citrus Vaccine Schedule Page. Consent forms are also available at all Citrus County Library locations.

DOH-Citrus is also asking residents with scheduled appointments to arrive no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled time. It will result in a longer wait for you and others adhering to their times.

As a reminder, the statewide preregistration system also provides each county with a designated help line number. Citrus County’s help line number is 833-540-2058.
