COVID-19 IMPACTS TO DOH-CITRUS SERVICES

The Florida Department of Health in Citrus County (DOH-Citrus) is open and providing the following essential services. Also, to ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and clients, all staff and visitors will be screened for COVID-19 prior to entering the main Lecanto office and the WIC Inverness building.

All clinic services are by appointment only* until further notice.

  • Sexually Transmitted Infection Services* We are still accepting walk-ins for symptomatic clients
  • HIV
  • TB
  • Epi – Monitoring and Surveillance
  • Immunizations
  • Environmental Health
  • Vital Statistics (certificates: birth, death, marriage, etc.)
  • Family Planning
  • Prenatal Care
  • WIC*

*WIC has transitioned to services by phone. Families can call 352-527-8490 or 352-726-5222 for more information.

For all other appointments, please call 352-527-0247.

To keep Florida residents and visitors safe, informed and aware about the status of COVID-19, the Florida Department of Health has launched a COVID-19 dashboard that will be updated twice daily on their website at floridahealthcovid19.gov. We also encourage all Floridians to take the COVID-19 Community Action Survey by visiting www.strongerthanc19.com.
