Viera, Fla — Brevard County has 399 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community. This information is updated once a day and can be found on the Florida Department of Health’s COVID-19 webpage.
COVID-19 testing is available at no cost at our drive-thru location in Viera by appointment only. Call 321-454-7141 for an appointment. In addition, the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County (DOH-Brevard) has partnered with the Brevard County Housing and Human Services Department, Brevard County Parks and Recreation, and New Shiloh Christian Center to offer free COVID-19 testing in underserved communities throughout the county. Testing is available regardless of symptoms and is a viral test, not an antibody test.
"We are pleased to be able to expand our COVID testing locations," said DOH-Brevard Administrator Maria Stahl. "And we appreciate the community partners who are helping us reach into underserved areas of the county."
"On behalf of myself and the New Shiloh Christian Center, I am elated to join with the Florida Department of Health in Brevard County in providing the opportunity for a greater number of people to be tested for the COVID-19 virus in hopes that lives will be saved during this pandemic," said Bishop Jackie Gordon, New Shiloh Christian Center.
Brevard County is still seeing an increase in Hepatitis A cases. For this reason, free hepatitis A vaccines will also be available at the testing sites listed below. All DOH-Brevard clinic sites continue to offer hepatitis A vaccines at each of our Melbourne, Viera, and Titusville clinics on a walk-in basis, 8:00AM – 4:00PM, Monday through Friday. Individuals entering our clinics are screened before entry and must be free of any COVID symptoms in order to enter.
