December 20, 2017

Parents can use the schools' winter break time to get their children ready for school or for winter sports during the Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County's screenings from Wednesday to Friday, Dec. 27-29.
Physicals for school or sports, immunizations and vision screenings will be provided at the 205 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg, center only. The event is for students from kindergarten to 12th grade; there are no pre-kindergarten screenings offered. Appointments are recommended. Call (727) 824-6900 and select menu option 4 to make an appointment.
Physicals are $26.50, with Medicaid and income-based prices available. Parents must bring the child's immunization record and remain present during the screenings. Families can also bring children in for well-child and annual screenings during the three-day event.
The vision screenings by Preserve Vision Florida are at no cost to families and are funded by the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas. Preserve Vision, a not-for-profit dedicated to preserving sight, will offer assistance to families who qualify for glasses and exams.
