Florida Department of Health in Escambia County Main Facility Reopens

PENSACOLA, FL – The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) will reopen its main facility located at 1295 West Fairfield Drive, in Pensacola, on Monday, November 3, 2014. The facility at Fairfield Drive has been closed since April 30, 2014 when heavy rains flooded the building, causing extensive damage. At that time, the services that were offered at the Fairfield Drive site were quickly relocated to other Florida Department of Health (FDOH) facilities.

Services that will resume at Fairfield Drive on November 3rd include family planning clinic, child health clinic, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) clinic, and immunizations clinic. Escambia Community Clinics’ will return their dental clinic operations to the FDOH-Escambia facility on Fairfield Drive on November 3rd. Birth and death certificates will also be available at Fairfield Drive starting November 3rd.
WIC program services will not resume at Fairfield Drive until November 12, 2014.

While limited services will be available at the Fairfield Drive facility during the first few weeks of reopening, all services will continue to be offered in Escambia County, Florida at various FDOH-Escambia locations.
