Health Alert: Bayou Texar at Bayview Park

Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is issuing a health alert for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:
Bayou Texar at Bayview Park
FDOH-Escambia advises against any water-related activities at the above location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. The bacteriological sampling occurred during water quality monitoring activities and the level of bacteria has exceeded the level established by state guidelines.
Effective immediately, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is rescinding the health alert for Navy Point - North of Sunset Avenue Bridge
The FDOH-Escambia County feels that the water quality in this area has improved considerably due to the reduction in bacteria levels.
We will continue to monitor the water quality in these areas and advise the public of our results.
