Health Alert: Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park

Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (DOH-Escambia) is issuing a health alert for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:
Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park
The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County advises against any water-related activities at the above location due to the potential for high bacteria levels. The bacteriological sampling occurred during water quality monitoring activities and the level of bacteria has exceeded the level established by state guidelines.
