Health Alert: Bayou Texar

Effective immediately, in response to bacteriological sampling, the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (DOH-Escambia) is issuing a health alert for the following beach in Escambia County, Florida:
Bayou Texar at Bayview Park
A health alert remains in effect for Bayou Chico at Lakewood Park and Bayou Grande, Navy Point - North of Sunset Avenue Bridge.
The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County advises against any water-related activities at the above locations due to the potential for high bacteria levels. The bacteriological sampling occurred during water quality monitoring activities and the level of bacteria has exceeded the level established by state guidelines.
